概要

Juniper NetworksのJunos OSおよびJunos OS Evolvedのルーティングプロトコルデーモン(rpd)における例外処理の不適切な取り扱いにより、認証されていない隣接攻撃者が特定のBGPアップデートパケットを送信することで、rpdをクラッシュさせて再起動させることが可能になり、サービス拒否(DoS)を引き起こします。継続的にこのパケットを受信し処理すると、持続的なサービス拒否(DoS)状態が発生します。この問題はiBGPおよびeBGPの両方に影響し、IPv4およびIPv6の両方がこの脆弱性の影響を受けます。この問題は以下のJunOS OSバージョンに影響します：21.4の21.4R3-S9以前、22.2の22.2R3-S5以前、22.3の22.3R3-S4以前、22.4の22.4R3-S5以前、23.2の23.2R2-S3以前、23.4の23.4R2-S3以前、24.2の24.2R1-S2以前および24.2R2までです。21.1R1以前のバージョンには影響しません。Junos OS Evolvedでは、21.4の21.4R3-S9-EVO以前、22.2の22.2R3-S5-EVO以前、22.3の22.3R3-S4-EVO以前、22.4の22.4R3-S5-EVO以前、23.2の23.2R2-S3-EVO以前、23.4の23.4R2-S3-EVO以前、24.2の24.2R1-S2-EVO以前および24.2R2-EVOまで影響します。21.1R1-EVO以前のバージョンには影響しません。

概要

An Improper Handling of Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated adjacent attacker sending a specific BGP update packet to cause rpd to crash and restart, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).

Continuous receipt and processing of this packet will create a sustained Denial of Service (DoS) condition.

This issue affects iBGP and eBGP, and both IPv4 and IPv6 are affected by this vulnerability.

This issue affects Junos OS: 

* from 21.4 before 21.4R3-S9, 
* from 22.2 before 22.2R3-S5, 
* from 22.3 before 22.3R3-S4,
* from 22.4 before 22.4R3-S5, 
* from 23.2 before 23.2R2-S3, 
* from 23.4 before 23.4R2-S3, 
* from 24.2 before 24.2R1-S2, 24.2R2; 

This issue does not affect versions prior to 21.1R1.

Junos OS Evolved:
