概要

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

btrfs: fix invalid leaf access in btrfs_quota_enable() if ref key not found

If btrfs_search_slot_for_read() returns 1, it means we did not find any
key greater than or equals to the key we asked for, meaning we have
reached the end of the tree and therefore the path is not valid. If
this happens we need to break out of the loop and stop, instead of
continuing and accessing an invalid path.

概要

Linuxカーネルにおいて、以下の脆弱性が修正されました。btrfsでは、btrfs_quota_enable()関数内でキーが見つからなかった場合に発生する無効なリーフアクセスの問題を修正しました。btrfs_search_slot_for_read()が1を返す場合、それは要求したキー以上のキーが見つからなかったことを意味し、ツリーの末端に達しているためパスが無効であることを示します。この場合、ループを中断して停止し、続行して無効なパスにアクセスしてはいけません。

想定される影響 ・当該ソフトウェアが扱う情報について、外部への漏えいは発生しません。 ・当該ソフトウェアが扱う情報について、書き換えは発生しません。 ・当該ソフトウェアが完全に停止する可能性があります。
