Summary

Linuxカーネルのnet: ll_temacにおいて、platform_get_resourceが誤ってdevm_platform_ioremap_resource_bynameに置き換えられた結果、name引数に0が渡されると、呼び出しスタック内でplatform_get_resource_bynameがstrcmpでヌルポインタを発生させる脆弱性が存在しました。本来はdevm_platform_ioremap_resourceで置き換える必要がありました。

Possible impacts 当該ソフトウェアが扱う情報について、外部への漏えいは発生しません。 また、当該ソフトウェアが扱う情報について、書き換えは発生しません。 さらに、当該ソフトウェアが完全に停止する可能性があります。 そして、この脆弱性を悪用した攻撃の影響は、他のソフトウェアには及びません。

Summary

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

net: ll_temac: platform_get_resource replaced by wrong function

The function platform_get_resource was replaced with
devm_platform_ioremap_resource_byname and is called using 0 as name.

This eventually ends up in platform_get_resource_byname in the call
stack, where it causes a null pointer in strcmp.

if (type == resource_type(r) && !strcmp(r->name, name))

It should have been replaced with devm_platform_ioremap_resource.
