Summary

Juniper Networks Junos OS および Junos OS Evolved の CLI における OS コマンドで使用される特別な要素の不適切な無効化（『OS コマンドインジェクション』）の脆弱性により、高い権限を持つローカル攻撃者が権限を root に昇格させることが可能です。ユーザーが特別に細工された引数を 'request system logout' コマンドに提供すると、それらはシェル上で root として実行され、デバイスを完全に侵害する危険があります。この問題は以下のバージョンに影響を与えます。Junos OS では、21.2R3-S9 より前のすべてのバージョン、21.4R3-S8 より前の 21.4 系列のバージョン、22.2R3-S6 より前の 22.2 系列のバージョン、22.3R3-S3 より前の 22.3 系列のバージョン、22.4R3-S6 より前の 22.4 系列のバージョン、23.2R2-S1 より前の 23.2 系列のバージョン、23.4R1-S2 および 23.4R2 より前の 23.4 系列のバージョンが該当します。Junos OS Evolved では、22.4R3-S6-EVO より前のすべてのバージョン、23.2R2-S1-EVO より前の 23.2-EVO 系列のバージョン、23.4R1-S2-EVO および 23.4R2-EVO より前の 23.4-EVO 系列のバージョンが該当します。

Summary

An Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command ('OS Command Injection') vulnerability in the CLI of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows a high privileged, local attacker to escalated their privileges to root.

When a user provides specifically crafted arguments to the 'request system logout' command, these will be executed as root on the shell, which can completely compromise the device.
This issue affects:

Junos OS: 

* all versions before 21.2R3-S9,
* 21.4 versions before 21.4R3-S8,
* 22.2 versions before 22.2R3-S6,
* 22.3 versions before 22.3R3-S3,
* 22.4 versions before 22.4R3-S6,
* 23.2 versions before 23.2R2-S1,
* 23.4 versions before 23.4R1-S2, 23.4R2;

Junos OS Evolved:

* all versions before 22.4R3-S6-EVO,
* 23.2-EVO versions before 23.2R2-S1-EVO,
* 23.4-EVO versions before 23.4R1-S2-EVO, 23.4R2-EVO.
