Summary

Juniper NetworksのJunos OSおよびJunos OS Evolvedのルーティングプロトコルデーモン(rpd)に到達可能なアサーションの脆弱性が存在し、隣接する認証されていない攻撃者がサービス拒否攻撃(DoS)を引き起こす可能性があります。すべてのJunos OSおよびJunos OS Evolved機器では、ルート検証が有効になっている場合にBGP初期セッション確立中のまれな条件が原因でrpdがクラッシュして再起動することがあります。これは特にエラー処理シナリオ中に接続要求が失敗した際に発生します。セッション確立の継続的な失敗が持続的なDoS状態を引き起こします。本問題は以下のJunos OSのバージョンに影響します。・22.2R3-S6より前のすべてのバージョン、・22.4から22.4R3-S6より前、・23.2から23.2R2-S3より前、・23.4から23.4R2-S4より前、・24.2から24.2R2より前です。またJunos OS Evolvedにおいても同様に、・22.2R3-S6-EVOより前のすべてのバージョン、・22.4から22.4R3-S6-EVOより前、・23.2から23.2R2-S3-EVOより前、・23.4から23.4R2-S4-EVOより前、・24.2から24.2R2-EVOより前のバージョンに影響します。

Summary

A Reachable Assertion vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an adjacent, unauthenticated attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS).On all Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved devices, when route validation is enabled, a rare condition during BGP initial session establishment can lead to an rpd crash and restart. This occurs specifically when the connection request fails during error-handling scenario.

Continued session establishment failures leads to a sustained DoS condition. 

This issue affects Junos OS:

* All versions before 22.2R3-S6,
* from 22.4 before 22.4R3-S6,
* from 23.2 before 23.2R2-S3,
* from 23.4 before 23.4R2-S4,
* from 24.2 before 24.2R2;

Junos OS Evolved:
* All versions before 22.2R3-S6-EVO,
* from 22.4 before 22.4R3-S6-EVO,
* from 23.2 before 23.2R2-S3-EVO,
* from 23.4 before 23.4R2-S4-EVO,
* from 24.2 before 24.2R2-EVO.
