Summary

Juniper Networks Junos OSおよびJunos OS EvolvedのRouting Protocol Daemon（rpd）における異常または例外的な条件のチェックが不適切である脆弱性により、権限の低いローカル攻撃者がサービス拒否（DoS）を引き起こす可能性があります。特定の「show bgp neighbor」CLIコマンドを実行すると、rpdのCPU使用率が上昇し、最終的にクラッシュおよび再起動が発生します。このコマンドを繰り返し使用すると、持続的なDoS状態を引き起こします。BGP RIBのシャーディングおよびアップデートスレッド処理が有効な場合にのみ影響を受けます。この問題は以下のJunOSのバージョンに影響します：21.2R3-S9より前のすべてのバージョン、21.4から21.4R3-S8より前、22.2から22.2R3-S6より前、22.4から22.4R3-S2より前、23.2から23.2R2-S3より前、23.4から23.4R2より前。Junos OS Evolvedでは21.2R3-S9-EVOより前のすべてのバージョン、21.4-EVOから21.4R3-S8-EVOより前、22.2-EVOから22.2R3-S6-EVOより前、22.4-EVOから22.4R3-S2-EVOより前、23.2-EVOから23.2R2-S3-EVOより前、23.4-EVOから23.4R2-EVOより前が影響を受けます。

Summary

An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the Routing Protocol Daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows a local, low-privileged attacker to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS).

When a specific "show bgp neighbor" CLI command is run, the rpd cpu utilization rises and eventually causes a crash and restart. Repeated use of this command will cause a sustained DoS condition. 

The device is only affected if BGP RIB sharding and update-threading is enabled.
This issue affects Junos OS: 

* All versions before 21.2R3-S9, 
* from 21.4 before 21.4R3-S8,
* from 22.2 before 22.2R3-S6, 
* from 22.4 before 22.4R3-S2, 
* from 23.2 before 23.2R2-S3, 
* from 23.4 before 23.4R2.

and Junos OS Evolved: 

* All versions before 21.2R3-S9-EVO, 
* from 21.4-EVO before 21.4R3-S8-EVO, 
* from 22.2-EVO before 22.2R3-S6-EVO,
