Perl用のCrypt::SecretBufferのバージョン0.019未満にはタイミング攻撃に対する脆弱性があります。例えば、Crypt::SecretBufferが平文パスワードの保存や比較に使用されている場合、タイミングの不一致を利用されて秘密のパスワードが推測される可能性があります。

Possible impacts 当該ソフトウェアが扱う全ての情報が外部に漏れる可能性があります。 また、当該ソフトウェアが扱う情報について、書き換えは発生しません。 さらに、当該ソフトウェアは停止しません。 そして、この脆弱性を悪用した攻撃の影響は、他のソフトウェアには及びません。

Crypt::SecretBuffer versions before 0.019 for Perl is suseceptible to timing attacks.

For example, if Crypt::SecretBuffer was used to store and compare plaintext passwords, then discrepencies in timing could be used to guess the secret password.
