Summary

Linuxカーネルにおいて、以下の脆弱性が修正されました。ext4のext4_ext_shift_extents()関数におけるメモリリークの問題です。ext4_ext_shift_extents()関数では、whileループ内でextentがNULLの場合に、ext4_find_extent()で取得したパスを解放せずに関数が即座に戻ってしまい、メモリリークが発生していました。この問題を修正するために、パスが適切に解放されるようにoutラベルへジャンプする処理を追加しました。

Summary

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

ext4: fix memory leak in ext4_ext_shift_extents()

In ext4_ext_shift_extents(), if the extent is NULL in the while loop, the
function returns immediately without releasing the path obtained via
ext4_find_extent(), leading to a memory leak.

Fix this by jumping to the out label to ensure the path is properly
released.
